" I was so sorry to hear of Simon's passing. We all grew up together on Newsham Road. Neighboring farms and a shared taxi to Thirsk school. Memories of heated discussions on that 3 mile daily journey, usually about football or punk music. Most arguments settled by a heavy fist coming from Simon (sat in the front) over to the back where there'd be Paul, "Waller', myself and Richard sat. Didn't matter who he clouted, it tended to settle it. Growing up next-door to the Parvin family you become friends forever. Simon was intelligent, funny, dedicated to the 'Boro', had a love for good music back in the day, and always had time to chat. He was a good man and will be missed by everyone. "
